Walk Notts with TNT
Two weeks, 78.1 miles, 102 churches/projects visited, 1 goal. Overcoming poverty and injustice across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
On your marks...
The end of our BLESS Nottingham event on Thursday 1st May, signified the beginning of our Walk Notts with TNT fundraiser. Our #WalkWithTNT series has highlighted just some of the breadth and scope of our work that we do here at Transforming Notts Together to overcome poverty and injustice across our City and County. From 1st -15th May, the team walked 78.1 miles from inner city Nottingham, through the outer estates, into rural Nottinghamshire, before finishing at Southwell for a wonderful celebration service in Southwell Minster.

Who do we support?
Transforming Notts Together works across the City and County to inspire, equip and connect churches, organisations and projects as they seek to help people break free from poverty. We support:
* the 86 Places of Welcome across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire
* 22 statutory organisations
* 61 voluntary community projects
* 249 churches
and groups/charities belonging to other, or no, faith.
So what was Walk Notts with TNT?
2025 has had a walking theme at Transforming Notts Together. We have been taking our trusty boots out and about with us when we meet with churches, charities, projects and Places of Welcome. It has been fantastic at showcasing just some of the work that TNT are involved in across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
Walking more than 78.1 miles across the two week span, we have: (a) highlighted just some of the amazing work that is happening across our City and County, (b) raised money to overcome poverty and injustice in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, (c) connected churches and projects with each other, and (d) inspired others to get involved in supporting their local church/project.

So, what now?
So many amazing connections were renewed and opportunities identified during our walks. We have seen church and project leaders who would love some mentoring support, seen projects who are looking to expand into community hubs and require some advice, met with church leaders wanting to host a workshop to learn more about the needs of their local community, and so much more. It has been a joyful, and fruitful, adventure. We seek to help any church, project or charity who approaches us for mentoring, support, equipping, etc, and we do not charge for our services. But... we also rely on grants to fund the work we do, and in the current climate, competition for grant funding is competitive. We would love to reduce our reliance on grant funds.
We would love people to either sponsor our efforts or become a regular giver towards the work happening at Transforming Notts Together. We continue to make a stand against poverty and inequality in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, and Inspire, Equip and Connect churches, projects and charities reaching those most affected. We know that the rates of poverty are increasing in a City who already ranks as the 11th (out of 317) most deprived district in England using the Indices of Multiple Deprivation. Can you support us as we seek to transform Notts, together?
