Our Mission Statement

'TNT builds relationships with churches across Nottinghamshire and inspires, equips and connects them as they help people break free from poverty and isolation arising from injustice and inequality.'

We achieve this by:

Inspiring churches to engage with communities by bringing to life how injustice and inequality impacts on people.
Equipping and partnering with churches, enhancing and developing their skills and resources so they can make a greater difference locally.
Connecting churches and Christian organisations by coordinating networks and promoting wider collaborative working.

Transforming Notts Together is part of the Together Network – local partnerships between CUF and 19 Church of England Dioceses – which promotes collaborative, local social action through network building, strengthening of relationships, sharing of best practice and the development and delivery of programmes to tackle social issues including food poverty, loneliness and homelessness.

Inspiring Volunteer Development Worker I Inspiring churches and projects in recruiting, training and supporting volunteers through Wayfinder and Places of Welcome.

Trustees

Rt. Rev. Peter Hill

Chair - Previously a local vicar, Archdeacon of Nottingham and a bishop in East London. Committed to catalysing and supporting community transformation one step at a time.

Sam Crawford

Treasurer- I'm the Head of Business Development at Notts County Foundation and have worked in the voluntary sector for over 15 years including my most recent role as a homelessness charity Chief Exec. I am passionate about social justice and empowering disenfranchised communities.

John Chambers

Trustee - Retired from running my own business, which helped companies to improve their performance in innovation and creativity.

Tim Heeley

Trustee - A former broadcast journalist and public relations consultant, I've held contracts with SMEs and all levels of Government. I'm a leader at Keyworth Baptist Church and curate a website about Discipleship.

Ruth Marlow

Trustee - I worked in Local Government for over 30 years in various roles from housing mangaer to chief executive. More recently, until my retirement in March 2022, I was the Diocesan Secretary for Coventry Diocese

Rev. Liam O’Boyle

Trustee - I'm Partnerships Officer for the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham, with unique insight into working with churches, other faiths, third sector organisations and statutory organisations.

Angela Painter

Trustee - Following a career based in a variety of roles within the NHS, I am now a semi-retired, self-employed coach and consultant empowering charity leaders.

Church Urban Fund

TNT is a Joint Venture between the Church Urban Fund (CUF) and the Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham and is part of the Together Network, which involves 20 similar independent organisations working in deprived areas, England-wide, all supported by the Church Urban Fund.
