About Us

Our aims and our team

• We’re raising awareness of the need to tackle poverty and ways of doing so
• We’re coordinating & developing networks to build relationships between projects, agencies and churches to increase effectiveness
• We’re motivating & mobilising church groups to serve their local community to help tackle poverty

We aim to help tackle poverty by transforming the lives of the poorest and most marginalised in our communities in the Southwell and Nottinghamshire Diocese. Under Areas of Work you'll find the themes we are tackling.
TNT is going about this by:

  • Raising awareness of poverty and its impact on children, people and communities and providing mechanisms for others to respond effectively to mitigate such impact
  • Acting as a catalyst to increase effectiveness and collaboration, working with existing and new projects that help to tackle poverty
  • Increasing, motivating and mobilising church communities to consider how they can contribute to, engage with, and best serve their local community to help tackle poverty - transforming the lives of the poorest and most marginalised around them

Under Initiatives you'll be able to explore the networks, organisations and churches we work with.

We'd like your church to get involved tackling poverty - for you It Starts Here.

TNT is a joint venture between the Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham and The Church Urban Fund (CUF), and part of the national Together Network of 20 faith-based ventures driven by the desire to tackle social inequality across England. TNT is led by trustees and staffed by development workers. It has developed expertise and established a niche role drawing together partners from the faith, voluntary and statutory sectors to achieve its aims.

We give thanks for everyone who supports this work in whatever way.
