Drop-In Centres

There is a wide range of drop-in cafes, welcoming spaces and friendly people able to provide drinks, chat and signposting.

Places of Welcome

Places of Welcome is a growing network of local community groups providing their neighbourhoods with places where all people feel safe to belong, connect and contribute.

There are currently 33 places of Welcome (PWs) in Nottinghamshire (500 plus nationally). Although having to close in person during the pandemic, many of these are now reopening and ready to welcome their communities in need of a connection and a cuppa.

There is also a wide range of drop-in cafes, welcoming spaces and friendly people able to provide drinks, chat and signposting. Many churches, libraries and community spaces offer times during the week where you are welcome. The best way to get to know your way around is to chat with people you meet, and find out where they like to go during the week.
