What Next for Places of Welcome/Warm Welcome Spaces?
On 13th February we hosted a conference for people involved in Places of Welcome, Warm Welcome Spaces and similar initiatives, to come together and share stories of encouragement, challenge, and success, and to think about what might come next.

In recent years there has been growing recognition of the value of local community initiatives that provide welcome and inclusion for many. They help overcome loneliness, positively impact physical and mental health, support families and help local communities thrive.

Over 140 people attended the event which invited a number of key contributors to spark conversations about how these spaces might develop and/or expand to further support the communities they serve.

Attendees could choose from a range of seminars to suit the needs of their respective welcome spaces covering topics such as community hubs, refugee and asylum seekers, health and social services, faith, and wellbeing.
