What will I get out of volunteering?

You can learn new skills, build confidence and meet new people. Volunteering also supports you to put your faith into action, and help build a stronger community where you live.

You will bring your unique skills to this volunteering experience. But in return, we will support you with:

  • Training
  • Signposting to opportunities and information
  • Regular volunteer meet ups
  • On call support

Who can volunteer?

Volunteers must be over 18. There is an application process that involves and informal interview, a basic DBS check and an induction training session.

We are a countywide project and anyone who lives in Nottinghamshire can volunteer with us.

  • You might help someone ‑ fill out an application form, either on paper or online.
  • Someone might need help making a GP appointment, finding a food bank, or with some simple recipes.
  • You might help a participant get to know their neighbours, or find local activities or groups.
