Skydive for TNT
Glorious weather and three successful jumps. Find out how our Skydiving Fundraiser went, and our total (so far)...
Saturday 14th September
On Saturday the 14th, three wonderful supporters of TNT completed a skydive to raise funds and to share the work of Transforming Notts Together. Bishop Peter Hill, our Chair of Trustees, Angela Painter (trustee) and Steve Harwood (husband of our Operations Lead, Leanne) completed a 14,000ft tandem skydive with the aim of raising £10,000 roughly £1 for every foot they fell through the sky.
Friends and family came to support the three brave skydivers who appreciated the pep talks, hugs and coffee! After a week of rather dodgy weather, we were relieved to have clear skies and sunshine, a real answer to prayer.
After their safety briefing and receiving their equipment, our trio were off in their aircraft, steadily rising to a 14,000ft altitude, when it was time to jump. Here is Peter just about the exit the plane!
Peter and Angela safely landed first...
closely followed by Steve.
Our fundraising page is open for a little while longer and we'd love to hit our target. To donate and to hear how the money raised will help people across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, please head to JustGiving.
Thank you for all the donations, messages of support and kind words. We are so grateful.
Below is a video of Peter Hill's skydive, so you can either be inspired to complete a jump of your own, or be reminded why you'd never do one! Enjoy!
