DEADLINE EXTENDED TO FRIDAY 13TH MAY

What is the Nottingham Social Action Audit 2022?

You may be aware that together with Nottingham City Prayer and Cinnamon Network, Transforming Notts Together (TNT) are undertaking an audit of social action projects and activities offered by churches and Christian organisations across the City and conurbation

The purpose of this exercise is to gather together and share exactly what and where the Church is responding to need and developing community across the City. This will enable us to bring all the information about what we do into one place, give us tools to share and collate information, draw in church outreach work that we don’t yet know about; as well as explore gaps that are emerging due to increasing need and funding cuts. You are receiving this email because you are deemed to be a key contact of a church (or churches) or Christian charity within Nottingham City and the conurbation.

Why is it important?

Cinnamon Network have produced a short video explaining more about the impact that Faith Action audits have had in other parts of the country, which you can view at: https://cinnamonaudit.co.uk/welcome/

We are all aware of how hard this season has been, and of the many challenges facing our civic leaders regarding future services. We are also aware of the impact that such losses can have on communities and sadly it is always the vulnerable and marginalised who are impacted the most. However, as churches we have truly become God’s hands and feet and living demonstration of His love for all. This audit will not only allow us to celebrate what we are doing, but allow us to identify gaps and potential for collaborative working. It will also enable us to share with civic leaders what role the church has in growing communities.

Therefore, we really hope that you will see the value of this audit ‘for such a time as this’ and commit to being a part of it.

How Do I Take Part?

If your church or Christian charity falls within the City boundary, or conurbation areas of Wollaton, West Bridgford, Beeston, Arnold, Gedling, Netherfield, Rise Park/Top Valley, Carlton, Mapperley and Edwalton, you 'should' have received an email from Sue Buckby introducing the audit, and further emails from Caroline Riley through the Cinnamon network with instructions and your unique login details.

If we have missed you... please contact Caroline Riley on caroline@transformingnottstogether.org.uk or 07873801647

We want to include as many people as possible so that we can celebrate the fantastic work that is happening in Nottingham!

What happens after the audit is completed?

In the summer, we will be inviting all those who have taken part in the audit to a special celebration and thank you event. This will be an opportunity to share some of the headlines from the audit, and to meet with others that are also making an impact in their communities.

In the autumn, the results will be shared with key civic and faith leaders from the City as we continue to look at emerging needs and how the Church is working with the most vulnerable in our communities to show the love and care of Jesus.
