Calling All Churches in Retford and Bassetlaw...

Dear Friends,

Transforming Notts Together are offering an on-line session this coming Monday, 28th September, 7.00-8.30pm, on the theme of Places of Welcome/Linking Lives.

Before lock down we had set a date as Faith Action Retford to explore setting up a local network of drop ins/ Places of Welcome through Retford and the surrounding areas to offer safe places for people to meet and build community. Although this was put on hold, we would now like to invite you or people from your church to join us to explore these questions with us:

• How could we work strategically as The Church in Retford and surrounding areas to offer places of community?
• At what point could we practically and safely open drop ins?
• What about people not yet able or ready to leave their homes?

This workshop will be led by Paul Street and Jackie Smith from the Transforming Notts team, who are also supporting drop ins and befriending in other parts of the county.

TNT is also able to support churches or groups of churches to set up a project through Linking Lives (find out more at http://linkinglives.uk/). This could be alongside, or until drop ins and Places of Welcome are able to open.
