Lifesavers: Area Coordinator

We have a job coming up with our sister organisation, The Just Finance Foundation.

The Just Finance Foundation has a vision of a fair financial system and addresses the issues of financial exclusion, distress caused by unmanageable money worries and debt, and the lack of practical knowledge around budgeting, saving and spending.

LifeSavers is an embedded primary school financial education programme, facilitating a whole school approach to teaching children in Key Stages 1 and 2 to manage money wisely. We provide professional development, support and resources to primary school leadership teams and teachers enabling them to help children explore money and what it means to them, their families and communities, acquire skills to plan and save, appraise financial choices and develop habits that will equip them for a healthy financial future. LifeSavers schools deliver values-based financial education through assemblies and lessons, and run savings clubs to help good financial habits take hold. Lifesavers is currently delivered in over 120 schools with more on the way.

The role will include liaising with schools, organising training and curriculum support, running information days, problem-solving
and engaging the wider community in the work that we do.

We are looking for someone with great organisational and relationship-building skills, and while primary teaching experience would be beneficial, we are more interested in the skills, abilities and attitudes you will bring to the position. Most importantly you will have the flexible approach and a can-do attitude needed to work as part of our small team.

The role is for 21 hours per week, with some flexibility over days and hours worked. Due to the nature of the geographical areas covered, the ability to drive is desirable.

Salary: £28,000 pro-rata

Application Deadline: 26/1/2020

To apply, please send us your CV with a brief covering letter telling us why you are interested in the role to
