Faith Action Nottingham

We are a network that promotes collaboration, relationship and unity among Christian organisations who are working to tackle poverty in Nottingham.

  • As organisations we love and value each other
  • The Gospel of Jesus is central to who we are and the ultimate hope of those we serve
  • Empowerment and transformation
  • We appreciate diversity

  • To deepen relationships within the network
  • To identify the greatest areas of poverty in the city
  • To respond strategically to those needs in cooperation with other services in the city

We meet 4 times a year in a variety of venues. Our membership is always growing and we are in close relationship with Nottingham City Prayer, Nottingham Citizens and other like-minded organisations and networks.

One member's experience ...

"I have been part of FAN for 5 years now. Before joining I had no idea how much work was going on in the city to tackle areas of social injustice. FAN has provided crucial support to me during my employment with Street Pastors. I have learnt a huge amount from fellow FAN members that has transformed my work and some of these lessons I will carry with me forever. It has been such a joy to build relationships with fellow FAN members which has meant I have known who to ask for help when I have needed it. It has also led to some excellent partnership working, for example in sharing training sessions with other charities which is a much more efficient use of time and resources. Sometimes the brokenness of the world can feel overwhelming and depressing, but when I look at the work that all of FAN are involved in I am heartened that there is hope, that justice can be sought and lives can be transformed. I have learnt that we are definitely better working together, together there is such strength, encouragement and resources can be shared. Together we can pray, encourage each other and press on in sharing God's love in Nottingham. I am so grateful to all of the FAN members and particularly to Hannah Buck for encouraging us all and making it happen!"
